My name is Dan, I'm a writer and comedian living in Baltimore, Maryland. I studied philosophy at Nyack College and have a Master of Divinity degree from New Brunswick Theological Seminary, although I am not a member of the Christian community anymore. I've written a couple of books related to my thoughts on Christianity, and I'm hoping to write more books down the road.
I am using this blog to work out my thoughts on a number of topics and keep them organized to some degree. My main area of interest is philosophy of religion, so a lot of what I write here will be related to that. My interest in this topic stems primarily from my ongoing belief in God based on natural theology coupled with my rejection of theistic religions (and other religions, for that matter). I've seen my position on God characterized as deism and as philosophical theism.
This obviously isn't a comedy blog. I performed stand-up comedy regularly for about a decade, but I eventually lost interest in it and performances these days are quite rare. Lately I've been getting more involved with improv comedy (if you are in the Baltimore area, you should check out Highwire Improv, I do shows sometimes at their theater). I've also hosted several podcasts but am not working on any at the moment.
